Death  age 25 —casuality of Korean war, son of Mr. & Mrs. Otto A. Ruswinkle, BG Sentinel Tribune 12 Aug 1962

         Mr. and Mrs. Otto A. Ruswinkle, Luckey received word on Saturday that their son Dale, 35, had died of a blood clot. He had been stationed in Seoul, Korea for the past year.

         The soldier, a supply clerk with the 564th Quartermaster Company of the 55th Quartermaster Battalion, was stricken Friday, according to U.S. Army officials in Seoul. The parents said they received a telegram Saturday containing news of the death and a promise that a letter would follow with details, Mrs. Ruswinkle said today.

         Private Ruswinkle was born Aug 14, 1937 and was a lifelong resident of Luckey. He worked at the Bostwick Braun Co., Toledo after his graduation from Luckey High School, He was drafted in 1960 and served almost two years. Dale was one of five children born to Mary Ellen (Rost) and Otto Ruswinkle. His siblings included the following; Glen Ruswinkle, Carl Ruswinkle, Doris Ruswinkle and Raymond Ruswinkle.
