Membership Cards

We finally gave up trying to get the membership cards printed on both sides. For some reason when they were flipped to print on the back they kept getting caught in the printer. The cards have everything written on one side and we printed 50. The date is not printed on the card, we need to write it in. That way we can use cards remaining from one year for the next. We will have them at the next meeting.

Finances

Treasurer, Ruth Rothenbuhler, has completed our monthly reports for the year 2009. Fred Witzler has a summary of our yearly finances complete. Copies of the annual report will be available at our January meeting.  Fred is currently working on filing with the state so we can pay our sales tax. We currently have over $2000 again in our bank account. I’m sure we will drop below $2000 again once we pay our taxes.

Newsletter

If you know of someone who would appreciate our newsletter, please let me know. I mail to many elderly people who live away from Luckey and enjoy hearing about home.

LHS shirts

Sally is working on a design for our official LHS shirts. The cost and design should be complete by the meeting.

Town hall

We are still waiting on a bid from Zach Sarver for the repair of the porch, porch roof and windows. Suzann Dipman and Dave Derr are also in the process of getting bids for exterior painting.

Landwehr Booklet

Sally is in contact with Betty Blevins. Betty recently had hip surgery that has been giving her problems. She has been collecting more information on the Landwehr family tree for us. If anyone has any good pictures of the Chevy dealer we would like to borrow them to include in the booklet.

Wish List

It has been recommended that we keep a list of possible future projects. One such project that has been suggested is improving the area in the triangle around the cannon. Another such project that has sparked interest is a display of a veterans honor roll and a display showing service men from our area that are now serving in the middle east.

Hope to see you at our next meeting,

Over and out,

Sally Predmore
